Spring 2024 is upon us, and, of course, we won’t be wearing these winter jackets forever. So, as soon as we start shedding our winter layers, what will we wear? Fashion experts have pointed us in the right direction of 2024 spring fashion trends, from fabrics to colors that will take center stage. Here are five key spring trends to expect.
Business Casual
One of the biggest trends for Spring 2024 is business casual; it’s all about relaxed tailoring. Contrary to what you’re probably thinking, this doesn’t mean sacrificing style for comfort.

This means you can wear super comfy clothing pieces, but you have to get the style right. You could wear oversized blazers or suits that fall to the top of your thigh with oversized sweaters for work or street style. Wide-leg trousers will still be trendy, so no need to get rid of the ones you got last season.
Keeping things rosy
Like the great Miranda Priestly once said, “Florals for Spring? Groundbreaking.” While it’s not surprising, it’s more specific this year– we’re talking about roses. Touted as one of the most romantic stems, roses will be everywhere in the spring season.

Although you don’t have to go extreme like Simone Rocha, who added real roses to her gowns on the runway, there are many ways to follow the rose trend. From dresses to blouses, a bit (or a lot) of rose pattern details will do.
Shorts, not knickers
This trend is long overdue, considering how different celebs like Beyoncé have rocked the street style. This trend is about micro shorts- those shorts that you can’t wear in the cold weather.

Given the fact that half of your body will be exposed, you’ll need some courage to pull off the trend. However, you could wear thigh-high boots with your micro shorts for more coverage and warmth.
Rich burgundy/Oxblood
Whether you call it oxblood, cherry red, rich burgundy, or wine, it’s the most prominent color of Spring 2024. Gucci used the color throughout their spring/summer 24 collection.

This is an interesting twist since red isn’t usually a spring color. From handbags and jackets to lipstick and dresses, you can stylishly incorporate this trend into your spring outfits.
Sheer white
Sheer fabrics have always been prominent when it comes to classy evening wear. In the same vein, white outfits give off some kind of appealing, angelic vibe. Now, this trend merges the two.

Sheer white fabrics aren’t only sexy; they are also easy to accessorize; with simple heels, earrings, and a shoulder bag, you’re good. You could wear a sheer white dress to the beach or on the red carpet- it’s a relatively versatile choice.
